Obtaining my Facial Specialist license marked the beginning of a challenging yet rewarding chapter. Opportunities were scarce, but I remained undeterred, carving out a niche for myself and pioneering new job opportunities within the industry. Educating both employers and customers about the benefits of my skills, I persevered, laying the foundation for a successful career.
My defining moment came at Euro Day Spa in Winter Park, Fl., where I not only thrived as an Esthetician but also took a leadership role, earning the esteemed title of Head Esthetician. Here, I introduced innovative services and provided training to the esthetic staff. Collaborating with top plastic surgeons in the Orlando area, I offered freelance services and specialized in post-face lift lymphatic drainage massage.
A thirst for knowledge and an interest in medical-grade skincare led me to the Florida College of Natural Health in Altamonte Springs in 1998. Enrolling in the Paramedical Skin Care AS Degree Program, I emerged as one of the seven pioneers in the state of Florida to receive this cutting-edge diploma in Esthetics. The year 2000 saw my graduation accompanied by the prestigious Golden Hands Award for Excellence.
Setting high standards for myself has always been my mantra, and I take immense pride in the certificates, awards, diplomas, and licenses that showcase my dedication and hard work. Venturing further into the medical industry, I assumed the role of Paramedical Esthetician at Nova Cosmetic Med Spa in Dr. Phillips, Fl., working under the guidance of Dr. Jan Karlin.
My repertoire expanded to include skills such as laser hair removal, photo facials, endermology, medical-grade chemical peels, and facials. Attending seminars broadened my knowledge to encompass injectables like Botox and fillers. Today, I remain committed to staying at the forefront of industry trends by actively participating in continuing education classes and attending events such as The Premier Orlando beauty show.
